Order Policy

What you pay when you accept an order, what the Platform fee is, and why it is not refunded.

Effective 23 October 2026Version 1.1
On this page6

1.What you pay, and when

#
For buyers

When you accept a supplier’s price you pay two things online, straight away: Nirmaan’s commission and the Platform fee. The rest of the price — the supplier’s own amount — is paid directly to the supplier at delivery. Nirmaan adds no other charge, and no GST on top.

The full breakup of your order opens when you tap the ⓘ next to the order button. Every figure is calculated by the same system that charges you, to the paisa, so what you see before paying is what you pay.

Orders paid in full online

A few orders are paid in full online instead — for example a deal agreed with our team on a callback and sent to you as a payment link. The payment screen always shows which kind of order it is and the exact amount. Any Platform fee on such an order is shown on that screen before you pay.

2.The Platform fee

#
For buyers

Non-refundable

The Platform fee is not refunded, in any circumstance — even if the Nirmaan commission is refunded, and even if the order is cancelled by the supplier or by Nirmaan.

The Platform fee is a small, separate fee on the amount you pay online to confirm an order. It is shown as its own line — with its rate — in the ⓘ breakup before you pay, and Nirmaan adds no GST to it. The cost it covers is incurred the moment your online payment goes through, whether or not a refund follows later, which is why it is kept even when the rest of a payment is refunded.

3.Nirmaan commission

#
For buyers

Nirmaan’s commission is the supplier’s cost of selling on Nirmaan. It is already inside the price you see — it is not added on top. You pay it up-front, on the supplier’s behalf, before the contact details of both parties are shared — which is what keeps every deal on the platform — and the supplier collects that much less from you at delivery. It is a non-refundable security fee by default. A refund of the Nirmaan commission is considered only in genuine, serious cases (for example, the supplier cancelled), after review by our team.

4.If something goes wrong

#
For buyers
  • If the supplier cancels an order you have paid for, we open a refund review for the Nirmaan commission automatically and record the cancellation on the supplier’s account. 3 supplier cancellations in a row suspend the supplier automatically.
  • You can also ask for a review yourself from the order page. Tell us what happened; a Nirmaan team member decides, and the decision shows on the order.
  • If a refund is approved, only the Nirmaan commission is returned — to your original payment method — and the Platform fee is kept.
  • The supplier’s own amount is paid to the supplier directly, not to Nirmaan, so it is not part of any Nirmaan refund. If the order is cancelled before delivery you do not owe the supplier that amount. For a damaged, short or wrong delivery, see Cancellation & Refunds.
