AI home design for Indian homes
See your house before you build it. Share a photo of your plot or building — or just its width and depth — choose a style, and Nirmaan’s AI Design Studio draws front elevation, back elevation and 2D floor-plan concepts in about a minute.

What the AI designs for you
Each design is a realistic concept image you can compare, refine and download.
Front elevation
The face of your house from the road — façade, balconies, railings, colours and materials. See the AI house elevation design guide.
Back elevation
The rear of the building in the same style, so the whole house reads as one design.
2D floor plan
An indicative room layout for your plot size, floors and rooms. See the AI floor plan generator.
Houses and offices
Choose a house or an office building before you start; the design brief changes with it.
Two ways to start
From a photo of your plot or building
Upload a photo of an empty plot, an under-construction structure or an old house. With a building in the photo, the AI keeps its structure exactly as photographed — same floors, same openings — and shows realistic improvements to it rather than a different house.
From your plot size
No photo? Enter the plot’s width and depth in feet or metres, the number of floors, rooms and bathrooms, and extras like parking, a balcony or a terrace.
Styles made for Indian homes
Pick a style, a colour tone and which way the plot faces. You can change any of them between rounds.
| Style | Good for |
|---|---|
| Modern | Clean lines, flat roofs, large windows |
| Pahadi contemporary | Hill homes — sloped slate or tin roofs, local stone cladding, timber balconies, deep eaves for rain and snow |
| Traditional | Indian vernacular detailing — jharokha-style balconies and arches |
| Minimal | Simple, low-maintenance façades |
| Colonial | Symmetrical fronts, columns and a pitched roof |
| Glass & steel | Steel and glass curtain walls — offices and showrooms |
Colour tones: light, neutral, warm, earthy or dark. Facing: north, south, east or west. A “Vastu-friendly” option asks the AI to follow common Vastu guidelines such as entrance and kitchen placement — results are indicative, so check with your architect.

What it is — and isn’t
- Designs are AI concepts for visualisation — not construction or structural drawings, and not a substitute for an architect or a sanctioned map (MDDA/HRDA in Dehradun and Haridwar).
- Floor plans are indicative layouts; dimensions and structure must be confirmed by a professional.
- It designs exteriors and floor plans today — not interiors.
- Generated images are stored for a limited number of days (shown on the Studio page) — download the ones you want to keep. Designs carry a Nirmaan watermark.
From design to an actual house
Once you like a design, Nirmaan helps with the next steps in Dehradun and Haridwar: get a rough budget with the house construction cost guide, buy building materials from local suppliers at a price you ask for, and find architects and contractors as they join the professionals directory.
Frequently asked questions
How do I design my house with AI on Nirmaan?
Open the Design Studio, choose house or office and the view you want (front, back or floor plan), add a photo or your plot size, pick a style and generate. The first designs appear in about a minute; you can then ask for changes in your own words.
Is the AI home design tool free?
You can set up a design and see all the options without paying. Designs are bought as a pass that covers several images; the current price, and whether a free first design is on offer, are shown on the Design Studio page.
Can it redesign my existing house from a photo?
Yes. With a building in the photo, the AI keeps the structure as it is — floors and openings don’t change — and shows realistic improvements like new colours, cladding, railings and balconies. Use the notes to ask for specific changes.
Can I use these designs for map approval or construction?
No. They are concepts to help you decide what you want. Working drawings, structural design and the sanctioned map must come from a qualified architect and engineer.
Does it do interior design?
Not at the moment. The Design Studio creates exterior elevations and 2D floor plans.
Can I use it in Hindi?
Yes. The whole Studio works in Hindi and English, on the website and in the Nirmaan app.
