1.What buyers pay#

For buyers
No platform fee. None.

Buying on Nirmaan costs you nothing beyond the price of the materials, applicable GST, and freight where it is charged separately. There is no membership, no convenience fee and no surcharge for paying by UPI or card — the payment gateway’s charges are ours to bear, not yours.

Every rupee is broken out on the order summary before you pay — material value, GST, freight if any. Nothing is added after you confirm.

2.What suppliers pay#

Why we charge on the order, not on the lead

Charging per lead would pay us whether or not you actually sold anything, which puts our interest against yours. Commission on a completed order means we only earn when a real load leaves your yard and the buyer is satisfied — so we are paid to send you orders that convert, not enquiries that waste your morning.

We will give you written notice at least 15 days before any change to commission takes effect. A change never applies to an order already placed.

3.How and when suppliers are paid#

For suppliers
  1. 1
The buyer pays into the gateway

Collected via Razorpay Route. Nirmaan does not hold your money in its own account.

  2. 2
    Delivery is confirmed

The buyer’s dispute window of 48 hours has to pass without a claim.

  3. 3
    Your share is released

Order value, less commission, less the statutory deductions below, to your registered bank account.

Where you are a registered micro or small enterprise, we settle within 45 days of delivery in line with section 15 of the MSMED Act, 2006. Give us your Udyam registration number so we can apply that correctly.

4.Taxes and statutory deductions#

Because Nirmaan collects the consideration for sales made on the platform, the law requires us to deduct and deposit the following. These are not our charges — they are credited against your PAN and GSTIN and you claim them back.

TDS on gross sales
Rate
0.1%
Under
Section 194-O, Income-tax Act, 1961 (reduced from 1% w.e.f. 1 October 2024)
TCS on net taxable supplies
Rate
0.5%
Under
Section 52, CGST Act, 2017 (0.25% CGST + 0.25% SGST, or 0.5% IGST; reduced from 1% w.e.f. 10 July 2024)
GST on our commission
Rate
As applicable
Under
Charged on the commission amount; we issue you a tax invoice for it
Keep your PAN and GSTIN current

If we do not hold a valid PAN for you, TDS has to be deducted at a much higher rate under section 206AA. Missing or cancelled GST registration will also hold up your settlement. Both are easy to fix in advance and painful to fix afterwards.

The GST on the materials themselves is charged by the supplier to the buyer on the supplier’s own tax invoice — Nirmaan is not the seller and does not raise that invoice. See the Terms of Service.

5.Fees when an order is refunded#

  • Buyers are refunded the full amount they paid. We do not keep any part of a refund as a fee.
  • Where an order is cancelled or refunded, our commission is reversed in full.
  • Where freight had genuinely been incurred before cancellation, that actual cost may be deducted and is shown to you before the refund is processed — see Cancellation & Refunds.
